The SEED Project - Sustaining Economic Empowerment and Dignity for Women

FREE activities to help women connect, safely share their experiences, learn new skills, and find their way to financial independence.

The SEED Project is a community program designed to support women in Seymour and surroundings to achieve financial independence and live the life they aspire to.

A key part of our program is the SEED Hub,located at 47a Anglesey Street, Seymour.

The Hub provides a safe space for women to come together, connect through shared experiences and get support through:

  • One-on-one mentoring,

  • FREE activities that enhance financial skills - saving, budgeting etc

  • Linking to other community services

At SEED, we’re a friendly team welcoming women of all ages and backgrounds. No health care card needed. Join us for a cup of tea or coffee, use our computers, and access the internet— everything is FREE.

We’ re open from Monday to Thursday from 9 am - 5 pm.

The SEED Project is an economic empowerment program for women; we are unable to provide a crisis response service.If you or someone you know are in crisis, please contact:

By completing this Registration Form, I understand that the Brotherhood of St Laurence will use this information to determine my eligibility for the SEED Project and store your details in the BSL information system to be used for the program monitoring and reporting. if at any time you change your mind please let us know.

Your de-identified data may also be used by Brotherhood of St. Laurence for research purposes to ensure that we are able to continually assess and improve the program, and to inform our policy advocacy and program innovation
